Snoop Dogg' Maharaja Style Entry Into Bollywood : Music Review Of Singh Is Kingg

Music Director : Pritam
Lyrics : Mayur Puri
Producer: Vipul Shah

Pritam has done a very
commendable job this year
giving different variety of sound.Right from Race to Jannat to Kismet Konnection, its all worked. But Singh Is Kingg takes it all to a completely new level..its got biggest India' hit musicdirector in him with India’ geniune superstar Akshay Kumar and godfather of the rap scene Snoop Dogg. The soundtrack
rights were reported to sold for Rs. 135 million, thats a whooping amount. But is it worth all that after all... lets see..
When i got the cd,i thought it was going to have a universal genre of music with an obvious punjabi soul to it to go
with the Singh factor. But it was not to be.. all the songs where Bhangra and hip-hop combination based. If you are a
Bhangra music fan then this album is going to set your floor on fire. All the songs have a very groovy feel to them but the
one stand out track that impressed me more than Big Snoop' title track was 'Teri Ore' sung by Rahet Fateh Ali Khan and
Shreya Ghoshal, who lends a lot of emotion to the song and is really good.
Final verdict: Skip the album if you are not into the Banghra-Hip-hop fusion music culture.
